Oakville Youth Week Celebration

Do you know that Youth Week is celebrated by Oakville every year? Youth Week is a 7-day long celebration wherein young people can enjoy free activities, events, and learning activities. Everyone between the age of 11 years and 19 years is welcome to attend and be a part of it.

During Youth Week, everyone who is welcome to the event has free access to all open houses at Oakville Youth Centres, drop-in youth programs, and creative activities hosted by the Oakville Public Libraries and more!

Oakville Youth Week Schedule of Activities

May 1, Monday

  • Open houses at all youth centres 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Police Vs Youth Basketball Game at Glen Abbey Community Centre, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

May 2, Tuesday

  • A.C.O. Tuesday (Totally Awesome Career Opportunities) at Queen Elizabeth Park Cultural and Community Centre, Black Box Theatre, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • SAVIS Presents "Toxic Media" at the Bronte Youth Centre 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

May 3, Wednesday

  • SAVIS Presents "Toxic Media" at the Nottinghill Youth Centre, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Teen Green Screen at Woodside Branch Library, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

May 4, Thursday

  • Archery at Joshua's Creek Arenas 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

May 5, Friday

  • Camp Fire Night at the YMCA of Oakville, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • DJ Recreational Skare at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Bubble Soccer at River Oak Community Centre, 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

May 6, Saturday

  • Beach Party at White Oaks Pool, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Oakville Talent Starz, Queen Elizabeth Park Cultural and Community Centre, Black Box Theatre, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

May 7, Sunday

  • Skateboarding at Kinoak Indoor Skateboard Park, from noon until 7 p.m.

Get Your Bus Tickets Now!

Bus tickets to all events will be provided by Oakville Youth Centres. To get your bus ticket, simply head on to an Oakville Youth Centre before the event so they can also help you out for directions and information on bus routes.

Celebrate Canada’s Birthday Too!

Mark your calendars for this coming Sunday, May 7, 2017 as Oakville celebrates Canada’s birthday at the Queen Elizabeth Park Cultural and Community Centre. The celebration will be in the way of a 12-hour art project in honour of both Canada’s birthday and the end of Youth Week.
